Congratultions to Abigail, Will, Aubrey, Sarena and Eleanor who all represented Hertfordshire in the Southern Inter-Counties Cross Country at Oxford last weekend.
New season, new flag, a tent and a coach (for this race only!). Welcome to SNHAC cross-country 2022, what could possibly go wrong…..
Well in actual fact, not much! With plenty of experienced faces sprinkled with some new talent, the club carried on the excellent performances from last season.
It was a slightly new course this time, with a different start and finish making it more challenging than usual. The fields for the younger ages were no longer flat, and an extra hill had been added for the older age groups. And yes, the main hill was still there and just as long and steep.
All in all, it was a great day. Individual and team results are on the results page of the Club’s website. Well done to everyone, especially those who competed for the first time and those who were racing in a new age group category against older runners. Abigail Manson won the division 2 U17 race and a special mention must also go to Evan Robson who turned out to make sure that the reigning champion U15 boys’ team had enough members to score! Great experience for all, we are well set up for the rest of the season.
