Your local club which caters for all aspects of the sport , for all ages, (children over 9 years and adults) and both sexes
PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS- all ages Anyone interested in finding out about the Club, and having an introductory session is welcome to come to the track on the 1st THURSDAY IN THE MONTH AT 6.30pm- (this is the only night for new / prospective members) We will explain the Club’s policies, events and so on and work out the most appropriate training group for you to join-under 16 years old children should be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

MONDAY, TUESDAY AND THURSDAY EVENINGS FROM 6.30 to 8.00 or 8.30pm
PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN; years 4 & 5.
Monday 6.30 - 7.30

Introduction to full range of athletics events; Fun in athletics; Learn the basics of athletics competitions.
PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN; year 6.
Tuesday and Thursday 6.30 - 8.00
Coaches; Chris & Steve Feely
The age which sees the start of track and field league competitions.
Tuesday is running based- all distances and events; Thursday is field event based, jumps and throws.
SECONDARY SCHOOLCHILDREN; years 7 & 8
Tuesday and Thursday 6.30 - 8.00
Athletes start to decide what their main group of events will be; this is flexible, and not ‘cast in stone’

Sessions for adults and secondary schoolchildren who want to train but who don’t want to compete.

CIRCUITS; athletes aged 14 years and over; Coach Steve Feely
A programme of exercises using small weights and your own body weight designed to improve strength and power,suitable for athletes from all disciplines.
Athletes with disabilities may also be included in sessions on Tuesday and Thursday
Training fees are payable at each session; Seniors (working) £2.50; Seniors /students (unwaged) and schoolchildren/students £2.00; Non-members £3.50
All prospective athletes must attend the INFORMATION/INDUCTION evening held on the first Thursday of each calendar month at the track at 6.30pm (with parent or responsible adult if under 17) All athletes under 17 years of age must be part of a recognised training group with a named coach, who will assist in the arranging of appropriate sessions to be attended
SUNDAY The track is usually open, 10am – 1pm (not Bank Holidays) fees payable to Council staff on duty.
